Fake Online Profiles, may be used to scam people

In September, TechCrunch highlighted a fake profile of someone who claimed to work at TechCrunch... except that person is WAY too pretty.

"Her" gig was up when she tried to "friend" a Wired magazine writer, who brought it to TechCrunch's attention.

The photo is from an issue cover of "True Romance"

UNEFA is "Armed Forces Experimental College of Venezuela".

And note the "activities and other interests"... Polish websites and SEO service.

This is clearly a fake profile, and here are some ways I've previously highlighted on how to spot fake profiles on LinkedIn. Most of the same tips would also apply to Facebook.
